Welcome to Bethesda MBC

The Bethesda Baptist Church was organized by representatives of the American Baptist Home Missions Society. We see during the dark days of slavery men and women of the Baptist faith assembled in a small building on the grounds of the First Baptist Church on the corner of Highmarket and Queen Streets.

Our Mission: To be a Spirit-led Church living by faith and growing in God's Word; being committed to sharing Jesus Christ with the unbeliever and sharing our own God-given gifts through involvement in the life of the Body of Christ near and abroad; to be the people of God fulfilling the Great Commission.
